Men of Principle Scholarship

Scholarships

Dear incoming UC Irvine student and new Anteater,

On behalf of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, welcome to the University of California Irvine, the only UC in the OC! This year you will no doubt encounter new challenges and opportunities that will help to shape your college experience and lead to future success in life. To help with the transition, you have been invited to apply for the Men of Principle Scholarship from the Delta Sigma Chapter of Beta Theta Pi at University of California, Irvine.

Beta Theta Pi believes that college men should be recognized for their success and for their desire to achieve. In fact, for more than 169 years, we have been in the business of building Men of Principle. Beta strives to provide a strong social network and support system as well as leadership opportunities and personal development. For many of our members, these skills have transferred to professional life. You have probably heard of some of them . . . Wal-Mart Founder Sam Walton, Baseball Great Mike Schmidt, Retail Guru Bruce Nordstrom, Former Secretary of Defense William Perry, to name a few.

In hopes of providing these same opportunities to your campus, Beta Theta Pi offers a scholarship totaling $500 designated by the Beta Theta Pi Foundation for non-Greek male students at the University of California, Irvine. This scholarship is for college men who have dedicated themselves to improving their intellectual abilities. We seek men who demonstrate devotion to academic achievement and a commitment to making both the university and community better places to live. Most importantly, we seek men who desire to develop skills that will help them become successful in college, but will also carry over to their professional and personal lives.

If you are interested in the scholarship, I encourage you to complete the attached application and email it to our Scholarship Chairman, Comron Roodsari, at irvinebeta@gmail.com. By applying for the scholarship, you are not committing yourself to membership in Beta Theta Pi or any other organization, rather, you are merely affirming your desire to strive for excellence. For many men, the Beta experience has been a catalyst for success.

If you should have any questions, please contact me at (310) 850-6123 or croodsar@uci.edu. I look forward to receiving your application and meeting you soon!

Sincerely,

Comron Roodsari
